Youth and Children's
One thing you’ll see if you’re with us on a Sunday is that there are lots of children having fun. We want to be a church for all ages, from the youngest to the oldest – children and young people are really important to us, and every Sunday there are groups for every age group.
Our children aged 0 – 13 (to Year 8) join the main service on Sundays for the first 15 minutes, then leave to go to their own groups outlined below. Years 9 and over stay in the main service with the adults, but have their own “JAM” youth group on Sunday evenings (see below) . All leaders and helpers are church members, fully DBS checked and receive regular training.
The safeguarding policy and procedures are available on request. Judith Elgood is the safeguarding co-ordinator (policy) while Katie Jones is the safeguarding co-ordinator (DBS administration).
Creche
Every Sunday - 10:30am
We have a great crèche room, fully equipped with toys and a dedicated baby area with its own helper. There is a short Bible story and activity for older crèche children, music, and time for a drink and snack. Parents take their children to crèche, and are then able to return to the main meeting, and collect them at the end of the service.
Sunday Club
Every Sunday 10:30
During the sunday service, we have 4 groups with age-appropriate teaching from the Bible, games, singing, craft etc. Children meet with leaders in the main hall and are taken to their rooms, and are brought back at the end of the service.
Scallywags
Monday - 10:00am
Scallywags is Grace Church Dulwich's parent, baby, and toddler group.
It meets every Monday morning from 10:00am to 11:20am during term-time for pre-school children and babies together with their parents.
JAM
Every Sunday - 7:00pm
Our youth group remains in the main service on Sunday mornings, but meets together at 7-8:30pm on Sunday evenings during term time for Bible study and activities led by Andy Meadows, our Youth and Children Minister.
At present we're meeting on Zoom each Sunday. Email andy@gracechurchdulwich.org for details.
