I'm new
Welcome!
At Grace Church you’ll find people of all ages and stages and backgrounds, committed to learning from the Bible as we seek actively to love and serve Jesus Christ, and make disciples.
It is a great place to meet people who live locally, and visitors are always welcome. Whether you are investigating the claims of Jesus or looking for a church family to make your own, we’d be delighted if you joined us.
What to expect on Sunday
We're meeting at 10.30am on Sunday mornings.
The service lasts for around an hour and a quarter and there is a sermon, Bible reading, prayers, and songs. We share communion together once a month, usually on the first Sunday.
There are groups for children aged up to school year 8, and children are taken to their groups after 10-15 minutes in the service.
Just looking
There are all kinds of reasons why people start thinking about Christianity. Perhaps you’ve been having some challenging conversations with a Christian friend. Perhaps there are things happening in your life (good or bad) which are causing you to reconsider what life is all about. Whatever your reason, we want Grace Church to be a place where you’re free to ask questions, think and discover for yourself.
We believe that God has ultimately made himself known in the person of Jesus Christ, and that we find out about him and what he’s done for us in the Bible. The message of Jesus is really good news. In fact, it’s the best news you could ever hear: it tells us how messed up, broken people like us can be reunited with God, the one who made us and loves us. It’s news which brings us hope and gives us purpose.
Christianity Explored
If you would like to examine the claims of the Christian faith for yourself, we run a regular series called Christianity Explored, which aims to strip away the packaging and enables you to take a close look at the real Jesus.
It is run in many churches in the UK and around the world. For some it serves as an introduction to Jesus Christ, for others it’s a useful refresher.
The series runs once a week for either three or seven weeks and uses a mixture of DVD and discussion. We arrange series to suit people’s circumstances.
The series takes you through Mark’s Gospel, an eye-witness account of the life of Jesus. You do not need to know anything about the Bible, you will not be asked to read aloud, pray or sing, but you will have every opportunity to talk freely and ask questions.
If you’re interested, please get in touch with us via the contact us page and we can let you know when the next series is starting or arrange one to suit you.
